You are bidding on a 1965 cj5a tuxedo park jeep the tuxedo park model was the same as all other cj 5 s except for the hood hinges, windshield hinges, front bumper and the license plate light were all chrome and they had hood badges that say tuxedo park they also had 60/40 split front seat and fender cushions in the back.they were also a three speed on the column.this jeep doesn't have all the chrome because the chrome was in very poor shape so I painted it all black except the rear license plate light due to I didn't have the money to get it all re chromed.the entire jeep has been redone the body was removed the frame was sand blasted and re painted all rust was removed and rear cross member was replaced as were the rear springs. All the brakes were gone through all wheel cylinders and brake lines were replaced and the master cylinder.all fuel lines and the fuel tank and sender and fuel pump were replaced, the steering knuckleS were disassembled and cleaned and inspected and with new seals and fresh grease. The body has had both the front and rear floor pans replaced and both front fenders and the tailgate. It has the original tub. The windshield frame and all the window rubbers have been replaced as well. This jeep also has a hard top that also has been re done with new window felts and new window rubbers the top does need a head liner installed the old one was bad and I haven't got another made yet. The wheels are all original it could use new tires but I have been running it with the ones that are on it. The speedometer did work before I restored it but I dropped it and now the miles add up but the speed doesn't work I was told by the original owner that the miles are original so I didn't do anything to the rears, tranny and the engine except changed all the fluids plugs, wires, points and condensor and cap and rotor button the jeep runs good it isn't a speed demon top speed is about 45 mph I have also replaced numerous other parts wich I have all the receipts for. The heater does work and I had the heater core tested before I installed it but it does have a pin hole in it somewhere. Overall this is a good lo mileage jeep and is pretty rare they only made less then 2000 of them in 1965. And they came out with the tuxedo park model after the war to entice the general public to buy them instead of just the military I have explained this to the best of my knowledge it is over all complete except for a few minor things that Iv already explained the reason I'm selling is I just had a heart attack and and I don't have the time or the money to complete it.
